Parkdale Day Art Crawl

Think you know Parkdale? We guarantee you’ll see something new on one, two, or all three of our walking tours this Parkdale Day. We invite you to journey through what’s been, what’s coming, and the artists who materialize the magic of this community. In partnership with Gallery 1313, Adam Wynne, Parkdale Housing Justice Network (PHJN), and Flick the Switch Artists.
Ric Amis is a lens-based artist working in photography, film, and video, with exhibitions in Canada, the USA, Poland, England, and France. His work has appeared in galleries, performances, and on broadcast TV. A founder of Toronto’s first artists’ live/work co-ops and an early advocate for Artscape, he remains active in Parkdale community organizations focused on housing and the arts, including the PRA, WSCC, PNLT, and Waterfront for All.
Flick the Switch Artists is a creative incubator and artist collective with over 50 artists working across two Queen West studio locations. Bringing together painters, illustrators, textile artists, photographers, and mixed-media creators, the collective fosters collaboration, experimentation, and community. Through open studios and art walks, Flick the Switch connects art lovers directly with artists and the stories behind their work.
